Starting A Blog In 2024... Without Using A Text Transformer... Great Idea

about me

My name is Wood although I’ve gone by a bunch of names online. I grew up in poverty with only blue collar workers and gas station thieves to look up too and never passed geometry in high school.

Despite that my goals are on a future career as professional in software engineering.

I’m now in my middle years at thirty-one, and have decided to, and so far successfully, completely turned heel away from the direction I was going. I hope that by the time I hit forty I can say that I’d successfully changed the trajectory of my life entirely, and that where I was then is almost unrecognizable from where I’ll be in the next decade. I’ve tried women, men, different relationship dynamics, all sorts of jobs, drugs of all sorts, lots of booze, multiple running addictions, all sorts of things people never recover from both physically or emotionally, but here I am anyways with my taped up frames marking up tallies on an imaginary scoreboard of life experiences.

I’ll say I feel things can get rough for people out there, but I’ll never say the entire ride isn’t worth it in the long run.

Some things I love are learning, programming, figuring out math problems, solving logical puzzles, arguing about semantics, philosophical debate, breaking game loops, and I’ve also developed a soft spot for being off on my lonesome in the wilderness. Books are also fantastic from time to time however I do most of my reading online. Things I do not particularly enjoy are playing video games, watching television, flirting, drugs, or politics.

blog expectations

You can expect to see some project showcases from the past brought here, or stuff I’m working on at the time of posting. A big part of this blog is also to develop my writing skills since the majority of my writing has been entirely informal. I’d like to identify interesting past, or new technologies and jot about them here as well whether it be about something as common as MySQL, or as foreign and particular as a block-chain implementation nobody has ever heard of.
